Homepage Help -- A Walkthrough the Menu and Links

At the Top
At the top of your consignor homepage, it should read “Welcome to the Consignor Homepage for…” Your first and last name should be there, along with your consignor #.

On the Right (in a table)
You should see two rows. The first row displays your registration status. The second row displays whether or not you have signed up to work a three-hour shift. If you have signed up, it should have details about your shift.

On the Left
You should see the following links

    Register for Our Upcoming Sale
For those who are returning consignors, this
link will help you register for our next sale.
Simply check the box that says you would
    like to register.

    Un-Register for Our Upcoming Sale
If you change your mind or are not able to
consign, simply click this link to un-register.
Simply uncheck the box that says you would
like to register. You will also need to remove
    yourself from any work-shifts.

    Update My Account Information
On this form page, you can edit your name,
    address, phone numbers, e-mail addresses,
    and account password.

    Volunteer to Work
With this link, you can view all of our avail-
able work-shifts and even sign up for one. If
your schedule changes later, and you cannot
work that shift, come back here and either
change shifts or remove yourself from the
    roster.

    Work with Consigned Inventory
    See the section below.

Consignor Item Entry

This menu allows you to make, view, and print your bar-coded tags.

Work with My Consigned Items
With this menu, you can add items, edit already entered items, and/or delete items. When adding items, you can adjust the category of the item, the size of the item, the description of the item, the price, whether to discount it for Half-Price Day, and whether to designate the item to donate if unsold.

Print Tags
Obviously, you can print your tags here. Make sure to disable your pop-up blocker before you start.

View/Print an Inventory Report
You can look out and/or print your items in several formats – item I.D., category, discount, donated, or price.

Transfer Inventory to Affiliated Sale
Ignore these links for now. They will not be helpful for our sale.

View Your Sold Items
Once the sale starts, you can track how well you did, only after we upload our data file, which is periodically throughout the day and/or at the end of each day.

Troubleshooting -- Common Consignor Questions

I’m Printing Gibberish on My Tags
Here are some suggestions that may fix the problem:

1.  Don’t go directly to print; use the Print Preview in your browser first, then print.
2.  Try a different browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.).
3.  If you have and are using a router, plug your Internet cable directly into your modem/computer.

My Printer Is Cutting Off My Tags
Reset your print margins; you can set these in from the Print Preview menu.

My Mac Is Having Trouble with Your Site
We’ve had only one person tell us this, and she had to call AppleCare to get the problem resolved. Sorry.

My Firefox Browser Doesn’t See Your Website
Sorry, Firefox 3 has troubles with our website, for some reason. Try another browser (Internet Explorer, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.).

When I Click to Register, Nothing Happens
Turn off your Pop-Up Blocker. There may be a message at the top of your browser, something like, “Your Pop-Up Blocker is preventing you from seeing...” Just click on that error message and you will be given the choice to turn it off.

Having Trouble with PDF's?

What Is a PDF Anyway?

A file with the extension .pdf is one that any computer can read and any computer can print. For example, from our website, you should be able to view, download, and/or print our flyer, which is in PDF format. When you click on it (top corner), you will notice its name in your location bar — “pio-flyer.pdf”.

How I View a PDF?

The company that invented the PDF format is Adobe; the software it produced to read PDF’s is called “Reader.” Your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.) should already have Adobe Reader built in; however, it may not have the latest version. But don’t worry; Adobe Reader is free.

How Do I Get This Reader?

If your browser, for some odd reason, does not have Adobe Reader, or if your version is older, here’s what to do. Go to www.Adobe.com and click on the homepage button that says, “Get Adobe Reader.” You will be asked if you want to download the latest version. Click on the yellow download button, follow the on-screen instructions, and you will be all set, able to view and print our web files in no time.

Browser Having Problems Accepting Cookies?

The "cookie thing" happens with all browsers but primarily with Internet Explorer. Most people get the "Cookie Error" once, but when they click on another link in the "Consignor Corner," the error message goes away.

If that doesn't fix the problem, then click here to read how to change the settings to allow cookies for "mysalemanager.net."
